Established in 2001 under the direction of Ernie Kapphahn, the Amador County Community Band gathered local musicians and has since performed in Rancho Cordova, Golden Gate Park, and, in June 2010, participated at the National Community Concert Band Sousa Festival in Washington DC.

In late 2010, now under the direction of Steve Chambers and associate conductors John Lillie and Ernie Kapphahn, the band was renamed “Amador County Concert Band” and has now grown to 40 musicians; we are an active member of the Sacramento Valley Symphonic Band Association, presenting five formal concerts per year.

The band strives to perform a varied mix of musical styles. We seek to enhance the level of art in our community, to provide an opportunity for our talented youth to grow and perform, and to bring enjoyable and quality music to our loyal audiences.

We welcome and encourage new members! Rehearsals are Monday evenings from 7-9pm at the Amador High School band room on Spanish Street in Sutter Creek. Contact Steve Chambers at 408-761-1624 or Ernie Kapphahn at 209- 296-8989.
