The Healdsburg Community Band began with a conversation between musicians, Lew Sbrana, and Larry and Judy Price. In 1981 the Prices belonged to the Rohnert Park Community Band and were in need of brass players for Christmas carols and called trumpeter and conductor of the Healdsburg High School band, Lew Sbrana. After introductions Lew stated, “I wish we had a community band”. Judy replied, “Let’s do it!”

Forty-three years later we are an active group of musicians from the North Bay. We perform 8 concerts a year. We’re part of 2 local parades and have a pep band at various Prune Packer baseball games.
