Yolo Community Band

Yolo Community Band draws its 45-55 members from communities throughout Yolo County and the surrounding area, with members from high school through retirees. Along with our music director, Michael Loya (Woodland High School band director) our goals are to provide a setting where musicians can pursue music as a lifelong passion and to enrich our communities by sharing our music with the public. We perform a wide range of music from concert band classics to pops throughout the county at the County Fair, Veteran’s Day, holiday concerts, and community gatherings. The band is honored this afternoon to be performing The Ash Grove com- posed by Julie Giroux. This is a commissioned piece, written in memory of Dr. Eric Hammer, Director of Bands at University of the Pacific, who passed away in early 2019.
